I knew it!!

I took her to the walk in clinic because you could hear the mucus gargling when she cried. No fever though. The Dr that saw her was less than impressive, she told me the inside of her ears were a tiny bit red and her tonsils were a tad inflamed but she did have a lot of mucus running down the back of her throat. She Rx'd this steroid nasal spray for her because (at that time) she didn't have a fever and antibiotics weren't needed. I brought the spray home and read it "for the ages of 3-11..." and "12 and over..." nothing on there for 2 year olds :S I'm so thankful for Grammie Nurse, she told me what needed to be done. Raised the one side of her bed, opened her window & Ibuprofen. I did all of the above but she just couldn't get to sleep so she fell asleep on my chest in front of the AC, she slept for 3hrs before she woke up in hysteria - I'm so glad I opted to sleep on the couch. We spent the night rocking in the Lazy-Boy with the AC blasting.

She's super sleepy this AM and doesn't want to eat right now,she does have a fever but the Ibuprofen seems to be doing the trick. If I didn't have any other responsibilities then she'd be sleeping on my 24/7 just to guarantee she gets a good sleep.

My Little Soccer Star

This little guy got 4... yes, FOUR goals last night!! He has improved with leaps and bounds. He's realizing that he doesn't always have to have the ball and that positioning himself by the net can lead to goals!
While he's on the sidelines he's a great teammate, he cheers for everyone and is so encouraging.

I love being a soccer mom.

Final Field Trip as a Preschooler

The final field trip was a group outing to a farm just North of Gibbons. I stuck around to help Mrs. Heather out with the kids, they had a lovely day and Lana felt like a big girl getting to spend her morning with the Preschoolers.

 We started our morning off with a wagon ride.

 Are you digging the shirts? They say "Oil Kings Wiener Wednesday" hahaha! So cute. Apparently one of the dads works for the Oil Kings and they were going to chuck all these shirts so donated them to Mrs. Heather. The kids spent some time decorating the backs of them with fabric paint and some sparkly shapes

 This little guy ran right beside our wagon the entire ride, sometimes getting a little too close.

 Here they are all waiting nicely in a line for the pony ride. They were asking parents for volunteers to help guide the ponies around the track, so I got to lead "Tinkerbell". She's a good pony, unlike a couple others that were there.

Here she is, ladies and gents. Let me introduce you to RW's main squeeze - Abigail aka Abi! Where Abi goes RW is sure to follow. They magically appeared together on the same soccer team this summer and Abi's mom has let me know that she's got an "in" with the people that set up the Kindergarden classes and she's asked that RW and Abi get put in the same class together. So, I forsee nothing but smiles from RW this fall when he finds out that he gets to spend another year with her!

Little L aka Fashionista

We met up with some friends at the mall after TKD yesterday and Little Lana decided that her everyday sandals just weren't cutting it. She decided to make a racket in these purple plastic Ariel high heels. They are SO noisy, being a good 5 sizes too big might have something to do with it! There was no lack of compliments and commentary last night, that's for sure.
