Today at Church - A Religious Post
Today was the first time back at church since we got the news about Mom. I was excited to go back in there, sing some amazing songs with the rest of our church family and learn something new from our wonderful Pastor. As we all stood up and started singing about Jesus and the sacrifices he made for us... I was overcome with emotion. I could not, for the life of me, keep it together. I had to excuse myself during the singing portion of the service, it was too emotional for me.
Then Pastor Bob gave a service that was a home run for Colin and myself. Life creating obstacles and keeping the faith even when you have doubt... he even talked about cancer in depth. I felt like there was no one else in that room (in actuality more like 100+) and he was preaching to me and my current trials.
Afterwords Colin went to go stand in line so that he could pray with Pastor Bob. I was pretty emotional so opted to go get the kids from Sunday School, by the time I got the kids and came back to get Colin he was next in line. So as a family of four, we sat there with our heads bowed and tears streaming down our face as our amazing Pastor asked God to bless my Mom and guide her through these hard times. His words were from the heart and they were so comforting, I'm glad I sucked it up and was a part of that prayer.
Once the service gets uploaded to the church website I'm going to share it with you... it's pretty amazing.

First Kindergarten Homework
